Travel Expert, Offbeat Travel
The Position
We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven salesperson to join our team in San José. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our touristic packages to international customers, providing expert advice and personalized recommendations to meet their travel needs and preferences.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell touristic packages to group customers, travel agencies, schools, and corporate clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing personalized assistance and guidance throughout the booking process.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and maximize revenue.
- Stay informed about current travel trends, destination highlights, and industry developments to offer relevant and up-to-date information to clients.
- Coordinate with other departments, including operations and customer service, to ensure seamless delivery of services and customer satisfaction.
Job Qualifications
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in group sales, preferably in the tourism industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of Costa Rica's tourism destinations, attractions, and travel services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work experience in tourism or related fields.
- Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to be employed in the country of operation.
- Experience with Tour Plan Software system, Google Drive and Office packages.
- B1 Costarrican Driver license.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to work under pressure, long hours and with little supervision.
Location
San Jose, Costa Rica, Oficentro Momentum Pinares, Curridabat. 4 days working in the office and 1 day working from home.
